Hi There Opal and Shelly!

I tried to e-mail both of you to see if you needed help setting up the Yahoo Group, but both e-mails came back, so I thought I'd try a post here. I'm no computer geek - but I will try to do whatever you need help with. You can e-mail me at

Question for you all.....

Okay I will totally admit - I am not puter literate at all. I was wondering what anyone would think if we did a yahoo group to chat on? Or if anyone out there is puter literate- and would like to help with a forum?
you can either reply here- or email me about this.
Thanks!
Shell

Forum Update

I'm still working out the technical kinks on getting the forum back up and running. It will be at the same address, but I've had to reinstall the forum software and I haven't been able to configure it to the way it was prior to the server crash. I'm going to try and get together with a friend of mine over the weekend to fix it. Thanks for your patience!

The tooth of time

I just started the book yesterday but my kids (20, 12 and 5) keep bothering me! I have yet to get far enough into it to figure out what I want to do as far as knitting goes. I am currently working on a Wallaby sweater for my youngest and a horrific hat for my 12 year old DD. She is increasingly upset that I keep frogging the whole thing. It is a Knit Wit pattern with lots of yarn changes, etc., and I've frogged it three times already. The sweater is relatively easy because it is straight knitting so I can multi-task while I do it.

We are leaving on a vacation in two weeks and I am planning on taking my knitting with me when I go. We will be gone for three weeks. Who knows, maybe we will get to visit many of the places mentioned in the book!

Update on Book Forum

It looks like I found another home for our book forum. Unfortunately I don't see how I can recover the one we were using so we'll have to start from scratch. It also might take a few days to set up the new forum so please be patient with me! I know how inconvenient this is and I'm so sorry.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Don't Give Up!

That's too bad Opal. I was on the forum yesterday and it seemed to be working fine -maybe it will fix itself? (that's usually what I hope for when I have computer problems!) In the meantime, don't give up. I know it's been hard getting started, but I still think it will be fun once it gets going.

Growing Pains

It looks like the forum we had just gotten started is down indefinitely. I don't have all the details, but I am looking for another host for us. This might take me some time as I've been having some vision problems, which have been hindering my computer and knitting time. So I ask that everyone be patient, while Shelly and I try to resolve this.

I know we've gotten off on a bumpy start, but I wanted to thank each and every one of you that have participated in this endeavor. It means a lot to me. :-)

In the meantime, let's please use the blog as much as we can.

Come on over to the Forum!

After you have signed up, (scroll all the way down this page to find out how) come on over to the Whodunknit Forum and pay us a visit. This is where we are discussing the book. Even if you do not have your copy of Tooth of Time yet, there are some topics that may interest you. So fix yourself a cup of tea and come on over for a visit!

It begins!!

Okay so I guess I should say where I have been- I have 3 kids - and have been busy all weekend since last thursday running them and dealing with stuff they pull. So I haven't had much time to get anything written here.

Anyhow- We are now reading Tooth of Time..which - confession time- my copy of has yet to arrive!
On the KAL part- we are going to be mentioned on Knit The Classics!! So I hope that we shall get some more people involved here too! I have been spinning my heart out - making yarn so I have enough for a local craft show this October. This will be the first time I do that so I am working on it.

On the Needles - I have a top down cardigan for my youngest daughter ( she is 9) that I have almost to the point of doing some ribbing.
So I am anxiously awaiting my copy of the book - and looking forward to having alot of fun with this!

Welcome one and all!!
