Don't forget to Vote on our book!!
Hey all- our lovely co-host Opal has been great and set up a poll for us on our forum.
You can get to it here:
http://akamaiknitter.com/whoduknit/viewtopic.php?t=11
We have 2 books nominated for July and August. It was suggested, and I agree that we should do the first book for 2 mos so we can get our feet wet and get any kinks worked out.
Please vote today- and also- let us know of any other books you would like to read so we can start the nominations for the next one too!

Hi Everybody!
Hi everyone! I'm Sarah and I can't wait to begin! I live down in Birmingham and have nothing to do this summer but read and knit (and watch Law and Order SVU!), so I am looking for diffrent knitalongs. I found this one and thought this would be the coolest knitalong because I love reading mysteries and knitting!

New name and new forum
So we are officially the Whoduknit? Knitalong and we now have our own forums for our book discussions. So please register there.
Why do we have 2 platforms for our group? I don't think blogger is really set up for topics of discussion like a proper forum software is. Knit The Classics has the same forum and format for their group and it works very well for them.
We'll post our knitting and crafting projects here on blogger and then we'll have our verbage on the forum. Any questions?

Give me some clues!
Do you all wish to do the discussions here or on a forum based software?
Has anyone thought of what might be a good book to start with? I was wondering about Stephanie Evanovich's _Twelve Sharp_
I have a feeling there aren't going to be a lot of books that people haven't alraedy read, but I love to reread good books.
In the meanwhile, if I dissapear it might be because I'm having computer issues. Computers just don't do well in the climate I'm in. I can't have the air conditioning on 24/7 for it either. So this is just a heads up on what's going on around my end.

Naming the Knitalong
I had some technical difficulties with my email client this weekend, but I have most of it resolved. Shelly and I aren't going to start a forum until we've decided on what to call ourselves.
So far we have:

Welcome
Welcome bloggers to the Killer Knitalong. This is a knitalong for mystery readers and crafters. Taken from the concept of Knit The Classics, we're a mystery book club and a knitalong. We'll read one book a month together and knit or craft a project with the theme of that book in mind.
But before we start reading and knitting and crafting away, we need a proper name for our community. So the admins here are going to host a contest to come up with a name for us. Entries should be left in the comments section of this blog by Friday, June 16. Killer Knitalong is just one of the names we've come up with, but we've decided to let the readers decide which one they like best and to see which ones they can come up with.
There will be a first prize along with 2 runner ups. Prizes will be deteremined within the next week. Any questions?
