So, you don't want to make baby blankets or hats or you just aren't in to taking on a shawl project at this point. Well, how about knitting up a couple of knitted knockers?
The mission of Knitted Knockers is to provide women who have had mastectomies with knitted breast prostheses – completely free of charge. Knitted Knockers needs knitters and crocheters to make knockers using “approved” yarns, and they also need cash donations to cover shipping fees. www.KnittedKnockers.org is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers.
Skacel has collaborated with Makers’ Mercantile to create Knocker Kits, and Makers’ Mercantile is offering direct from the vendor pricing!
For only $9.95 you will receive 1 hank of HiKoo® CoBaSi DK (which makes up to 4 Knitted Knockers), the Knitted Knocker knitting pattern*, and free shipping in the US! Further, skacel will donate $4.00 to Knitted Knockers for EVERY kit purchased! This pricing is only good until February 12th

Thoughts
Reviving this group came at the perfect time. On January 1st I lost another friend to colon cancer! She too was an amazing warrior and pers, who at 43 leaves behind her husband, two little girls, her parents and siblings. I wanted to share her words with you all because as we start the new year they are food for thought!
